Features That Stand Out
Floating Player
One of the most-used features in Arewa Player is the floating window. With one tap, your video pops out into a small resizable window that floats over any other app. You can drag it anywhere on the screen, keep watching while you reply to messages, browse the web, or do anything else on your phone.
Private Vault
Some videos are personal. Arewa Player includes a built-in Private section where you can move videos you want to keep hidden. Access is protected by your fingerprint or a PIN — your choice. The videos are encrypted and stored locally on your device. Nothing leaves your phone.
Auto Preview
This is one of those features you didn't know you needed. As you scroll through your video library, a short preview automatically starts playing for the video your finger is hovering over. It's a fast, natural way to find what you want without opening anything.
Tap Preview
Tap any thumbnail in the list and a 10-second preview plays right there in the card. Tap the preview to open the full player. It keeps the browsing experience fast and visual.
Stream URL
Paste a direct video link — MP4, HLS, DASH, or RTSP — and Arewa Player starts streaming it immediately. No downloads, no extra apps. Great for watching content from your own server or any direct video source.
Video Trimming
Need to cut a clip? Arewa Player has a built-in trim tool. Set your start and end points on the timeline and save a clean version directly to your device.
Subtitles
Load external subtitle files (.srt, .ass) and watch with captions. You can adjust the subtitle size and color to match your preference.
Cast to TV
Connect to a Chromecast or compatible device and cast your video to the big screen directly from the player.
Library Sync
Downloaded a new video while Arewa Player was already open? Hit the Sync button in the top bar and your library refreshes instantly — no need to close and reopen the app.
Playback Controls
- Speed control from 0.25x to 2.0x (0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1.0, 1.25, 1.5, 1.75, 2.0)
- Skip forward or rewind 10 seconds with one tap
- Swipe left/right to seek through the video
- Swipe up/down on the left side to adjust brightness
- Swipe up/down on the right side to adjust volume
- Screen lock to avoid accidental touches
- Unlock screen with PIN or Biometric (fingerprint/face)
- Manual and Auto screen rotation
- Repeat modes: Off, Repeat One, Repeat All
- A-B Repeat to loop between two custom points
- Playlist navigation with Next and Previous buttons

Your Privacy, Respected
Arewa Player does not collect any personal data. No accounts, no tracking, no uploads. Your videos stay on your device. The Private vault is encrypted locally. Biometric authentication is handled entirely by Android's built-in security — Arewa Player never touches your fingerprint data.
